Lisa Kudrow will be joining her Friends alum, Courteney Cox on her ABC comedy Cougar Town, Wednesday (Jan. 6)!! Courteney talks about the episode:
” she’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though the doctor is mean to me,” said Courteney. “She’s the best in town at what she does and I become addicted.”
The chemistry between the two Friends is amazing, check out the clip below and let us know what you think.
Lisa Kudrow will be appearing on Cougar Town this November!! She will be guest starring alongside Friends alum, Courteney Cox on her new comedy.
” she’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though the doctor is mean to me,” said Courteney. “She’s the best in town at what she does and I become addicted.”
I was a huge Friendsfan so I am really looking forward to this episode, I think Lisa is hysterical.
Courteney would also love for Jennifer Aniston to come and join her.
“I’d love for her to be on the show, too,” Courteney said. “Obviously we can’t cast her so close to Lisa’s appearance but if there’s a great part for her, I’d send it right away. She’s younger than me so she can’t play my contemporary even though she did on Friends, but I think we can find something great for her to play.”
It’s good to have Friends!! Any fans of Courteney’s new hit Cougar Town?
On tonight’s episode of Cougar Town, Jules meets her boytoy, Josh, for lunch where he tells her that he is dreaming of having sex with her. Previously Jules had told Josh that she would not have sex with him until their 10th date. Rather than changing the 10th date rule – Jules and Josh “realize” that one of their dates required a change of clothes so that actually counted for at least 2 dates – so their 10th date is the next time they see each other. Cougar Town’s second episode of the season deals with Jules (Courtney Cox) regrets about not living it up when she was in her 20’s.
The episode starts with the whole neighborhood being up at 6 AM. Jules is up because she has to get her date from the night before out of the house before anyone sees him, her neighbor Ellie is up because “her stupid baby” (her words) woke her up, Courtney’s ex-husband Bobby stops over because he has an early golf lesson and son Travis is up to study.
Before you know it the adults are sharing war stories from their 20’s when 5 o’clock in the morning was the time they were walking in the door from partying. Courtney realizes that she doesn’t have a war story from her 20’s since she had a baby by the time she was 22. Read the rest of this entry »
The Season Premiere for Cougar Town, starring Courtney Cox, was tonight, September 23, 2009.
Courtney Cox plays a forty-something woman, Jules, a recently divorced mother of one teenage son named Travis (played by Dan Byrd).
As the series opens, Jules decides to begin a period of self-discovery and find a new man. Providing both support and comic relief are her colleague Laurie (Busy Philipps), her sarcastic married gal pal Ellie (Christa Miller), her underachieving and irritating ex-husband Bobby (Brian Van Holt), her recently divorced neighbor Grayson (Josh Hopkins) and, of course, her son Travis.
For a 1/2 hour show we learned a lot about the premise of the show and the characters, as well. Most of the show is spent having Courtney Cox come to terms with the fact that she is 40 ish and newly divorced. Cougar Town is from a woman’s perspective with Cox pulling at her “flab” on her underarm and some excess skin on her back and showing in detail how hard it is for a woman to get back out there – while men have it a lot easier.
Cox’s neighbor, Grayson, is newly divorced and already bringing home women half his age which just makes Cox’s character completely insane.
Is the show realistic – not in my world. Having my friend place revealing real estate signs all over town – not in this lifetime, going to a bar with my friend – meeting a man and leaving solo only to have my friend deliver the man to my house a couple of hours later – one can only dream and then having sex with the boytoy only to have my ex-husband and son walk in on us during an awkward moment – never.
Cougar Town may not be realistic but it is definitely amusing and if you are a Courtney Cox fan – worth seeing. I like to give a show a few episodes before throwing in the towel – only time will tell.
