Joanna Krupa Is An Angel

Dancing With the Stars alumni, Joanna Krupa never misses a step when it comes to helping animals.

Joanna led a PETA protest today outside Barkworks, a Los Angeles pet store that sells puppies even though hundreds of puppies and dogs remain homeless in city animal shelters.

At the protest, Krupa also unveiled her racy new ad campaign for PETA.   Titled “Be an Angel for Animals,” the campaign features an image of Krupa posing inside a cathedral wearing a pair of angel wings and covered only by a well-placed cross.   The campaign supports PETA’s efforts to promote the adoption of homeless animals.

“You know, we’re trying to spread the word that breeding isn’t the way to go,” says Krupa in an exclusive PETA interview. “Somebody needs to put their foot down and stop this breeding and these puppy mills. … [T]hey’re in these little tiny cages, and all they’re doing is breeding their whole life. It makes me so angry that our government doesn’t do anything about it. So I am!”

DWTS Season Finale, 11/24/09

The night we have all been waiting for – The Season Finale for DWTS.

The show kicks off with the 13 couples (who didn’t make it to the finals) being introduced. The 13 couples are going to perform tonight.

Whitney Houston started the show by performing, “Million Dollar Bill”. Houston gave a great performance and ended her song with money falling from above.

The loser’s club was introduced again (we saw them the first/second week of the show). The spokesman, Jeffrey Ross, inducted a new member, Ashley Hamilton. Ashley Hamilton danced with partner, Edyta to ‘Simply the Best’ (ironic??).

Kathy Ireland, Macy Grey and Debbie Mazar danced with their partners to ‘Whose That Lady’.

As promised when Tom DeLay had to bow out of the competition due to an injury, Tom and Cheryl performed the Texas two step. More dancing from the couples who didn’t make it to the finals. Read the rest of this entry »

DWTS – Finals – ReCap 11/23/09

Final Week!   This episode, each pair relived their highs and lows on the show and gave reaction to being in the final.   And oh yeah, did three different dances.

KELLY AND LOUIS

I didn’t think I really could do it. This is my opportunity to show people that I really have grown up.

Viennese Waltz, Week 1:

Kelly: I was thinking, “What the hell am I doing on this show? Just keep smiling, it’ll be over soon!” I’ve never cried tears of joy before.

Tango, Week 2:

Louis: Kelly put so much pressure on herself, it got the better of her.

Kelly: I remember thinking, “I can’t do this.” He said, “yes you can.” The tango turned me into a fighter on this show.

Charleston, Week 4:

Kelly: For the first time on this show, I didn’t think, “oh, what’s my next move?”

Kelly: It was such a learning process and adventure, I never thought I’d get this far, but I’m so glad I did!

Carrie Ann came to visit them in the studio to give pointers on what they need to improve to take home the trophy.

Carrie Ann: You’re the one that has had the biggest transformation.

Carrie Ann then discussed and gave pointers on Kelly’s trouble with passion in their dances. CA also asked a series of awkward questions, like, “Does he smell nice? Does his skin feel good to touch?” Kelly said it made her uncomfortable, but I think you could see the improvement in the chemistry between the two this week.

Kelly and Louis performed an Argentine Tango.

Len: You epitomize what this show is about, you came out and through hard work and perseverance made it to the final. Read the rest of this entry »

DWTS Season 9 Results Show 11/17/09

Another couple will leave tonight – leaving 3 remaining couples going to the finals.  Who will it be??

The spectacular dance performance was done to the movie, Nine, scheduled to be released in theatres Christmas day.

Alicia Keys performed her new release, ‘Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart’.  As a huge fan of Alicia Keys – I enjoyed her performance.  Leona Lewis performed her single, Happy.  The 3rd musical performance was the Bee Gees celebrating their 50th anniversary singing, ‘You Should Be Dancing’ with a special appearance by last season’s dancer, Melissa Rycroft.

The four celebrity finalists made a video to the song, Pressure – with burning shoes and all.  Tom made sure to make fun of their lip-synching skills which needed a lot of improvement.

The first finalists to be declared safe and in the finals were Mya and Dmitry.   The next couple to make it to the finals were Donny and Kym.  The final couple to make it to the finals were Kelly and Louie.

To my surprise (and probably most of the viewers) Joanna and Derek were eliminated.  What do you think about Joanna and Derek being eliminated – were you surprised?

And then there were four.  This is it – the last four couples will compete for a spot in the semi-finals.

The couples that remain Donny Osmond and Kym, Kelly Osbourne and Louie, Mya and Dmitry and Joanna Kruppa and Derek.

Hottie Gilles Marini shows up at Donny and Kym’s rehearsal to give Donny some tips.  His first tip is to make Kym feel uncomfortable.

Donny and Kym

1st Dance – Tango

There was a costume catastrophe which seemed to cause some problems for the couple.

Judges Comments: Len called it a catastrophe, Bruno said Donny completely lost it and Carrie Ann said there was no drama happening.

Score:  21

2nd Dance – Samba

Judges Comments:  Bruno said you nailed it. Carrie Ann said it was better than the last one but it felt a little sloppy and Len said good job.

Score: 26

3rd Dance:  Jitterbug

Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said you hit it, Len said it was a winner and Bruno said filled with vigor

Score: 27

Total Score: 74

Joanna and Derek

Brooke Burns came to give Joanna some help with how to deal with Derek.

1st Dance: Vienesse Waltz

Judges Comments: Bruno said it was a fantastic waltz, Carrie Ann said Joanna took her breath away and Len said overall it was the most beautiful dance

Scores: 27

2nd Dance: Cha cha cha

Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said I love it and you truly are a dancer, Len said it was clean, crisp and had great rhythm and Bruno said you are natural sex.  It oozes from everywhere (okay Bruno – tmi).

Score:  27

3rd Dance: Salsa

Judges Comments:  Len said the dance was hot, tasty and full of spice, Bruno said delicious and flirtatious and Carrie Ann said you generate hit, I loved it!!

Scores: 27

Total Score: 81

Len and Bruno are completely infatuated with Joanna.  It’s a bit too much if you ask me. What do you think?  More after the jump!!
