Melinda knows that Aiden is supposed to have powers that she doesn’t but fears what they can be when he tells her that he sees shadows without faces.

Jim loses a 19 year old patient, Ruby Grayson, during gallbladder surgery – after promising her that everything would be okay.  When he returns to the lockers he thinks he is being haunted when the lockers begin slamming but we soon find out that it is the other doctor, Dr.  Morgan, who is the person being haunted.

Dr. Morgan had an affair with a med student who goes missing.  The med students, Tina, visits Melinda and asks her not to judge her.  It turns out that she was a stripper and she used the cash from stripping to pay for med school.  Jennifer Love Hewitt gives the viewers the pleasure of performing an ultra-sexy pole dance. In tonight’s episode of the Ghost Whisperer – Melinda is haunted by the headless horseman from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Aiden’s teacher, Caroline, brings Melinda some things to sell at the antique store.   Unfortunately there are memories attached to the items that are brought in – causing Melinda to have visions.  Melinda pays a visit to Caroline’s parent’s home and finds out that the father had early onset of alzheimers disease and was delusional. 

It turns out there was an accident at Caroline’s parent’s house with a former worker by the name of Sean.  Sean was thought to have been stealing from Caroline’s family and while fleeing the house by horse after “allegedly” stealing some jewelry he fell off the horse and died a month later.  The night that Sean broke his neck he and Caroline were supposed to run away and elope.  The jewels were found in Sean’s car the night of the accident.

Caroline’s sister, Dana had a crush on Scott.  She followed him around the night of the Halloween party at her house and thinks she she sees him steal their mother jewels.

It turns out that Dana was actually following her father.  Caroline’s father stole the jewelry because he wanted to keep them apart.

Caroline was everything to Sean.  When Sean saw the doubt in Caroline’s eyes when she heard he stole the jewelry he couldn’t bear to stay there.  That’s why he ran off.

On this week’s episode of the Ghost Whisperer, one of Eli’s patients thinks he is being haunted by his sister’s ghost.

The patient, Nathan, was left home with his sister Rachel when they were younger and Rachel was kidnapped and murdered.

Melinda pays a visit to Nathan in his home and hears the sound of a double heartbeat of a ghost on the video.  Melinda begins searching the newspapers to see if an old girlfriend of Nathan’s  passed away.  While searching – Melinda is warned by a ghost, Amy Warner, to stay away.

Amy Warner turns out to be Nathan’s ex-girlfriend.  Amy died from breast cancer, survived by her husband and son, Garrett.  Garrett is Nathan’s son.  Nathan doesn’t know that he has a son until Melinda tells him.  Garrett is very angry because he thinks that Nathan ignored him and let his mother die.  He is determined to get back at Nathan and almost succeeds when he cuts the electric wires in Nathan’s house and inadvertently starts a fire and traps Melinda and Nathan in the safe room.

Garrett was arrested but Nathan bailed him out and hired him a lawyer.  Garrett’s goal was to give Nathan’s software away for free as payback for his mother dying because she didn’t have money.

In tonight’s episode of Ghost Whisperer, October 16, 2009, Melinda investigates a haunting,  in the hospital morgue — involving the death of a surgeon.

 Jim brings home a medical instrument that a murderous ghost is still attached to – allowing Melinda to have visions.  

Melinda sees a ghost, who is a surgeon, in her kitchen washing his hands.    The time period is from the 1950’s.   The patient that the surgeon is operating on tells Melinda that “they are killing him”.  The doctor thought he made a mistake during the surgery causing the patient to die on the table.

Jim does some investigating and finds out that the doctor, Albert Glassman, who was the surgeon who killed the patient also happens to have died on the day that the patient died.

Melinda meets the ghost of the teen who died, William Jett, during the surgery.  William Jett actually only died for a few minutes during the surgery.    Dr. Glassman had a heart attack in the hospital hallway and died.  William Jett  was revived during the surgery.  Melinda reunites the doctor with William Jett who thanks Dr. Glassman for saving his life.

Delia goes on a date when the owner of the restaurant spills wine all over her.  Delia’s date, Roger, goes off on the restaurant owner.  This turns Delia off completely.  Delia is then showered with roses and flowers and even mimes.  Delia thinks that Roger is the person who is giving her the gifts when it’s really the restaurant owner.

When I first started watching the Ghost Whisperer tonight I thought I accidently turned on a soap opera. Melinda and Jim had the night all to themselves – Aiden went to bed early and Jim had the night off. The couple shared a few steamy moments before we see Ned and a girl (Brianna) also sharing an intimate moment. When Brianna walked into the other room she sees blood (nail polish) on the walls and a bloody doll hanging from the ceiling with the eyes sewn shut.

Brianna had a friend Gwen who died when she was hit by a car after getting into a car accident with her mother. Brianna and Gwen were not on the best of terms when Gwen passed away. After Gwen’s death a chain letter email from her was being sent around campus with a photo of a doll, Sally Stich, whose eyes were sewn shut. It turns out that Gwen had received the email while she was driving with her mother and deleted the email. Gwen is trying to keep the e-mail going to save her mother who is in a coma. Tonight, September 25, 2009 was the premiere for the ‘Ghost Whisperer‘.

This season is definitely going to be an exciting one starting with Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) giving birth to a baby boy, Aiden (Connor Gibbs), who has his mother’s paranormal gifts – and maybe more.

The episode, which was directed by Hewitt, will also take a leap into the future – five years into the future.   We learn that the other characters have grown and changed.   Ned is in college studying the occult, Delia’s now got a thriving real estate business – but still helps out in the store.   Jim is now a doctor and Melinda is a mom and a business owner.

Before we get  five years into the future we get to experience a difficult birth with Melinda almost losing the baby. 

At Aiden’s birthday party we learn that every year on his birthday something bad happens and his 5th birthday is no exception.  Aiden ended up in the hospital because he is having problems breathing. Read the rest of this entry »
