Glee will be returning to television on April 14, 2010. If you can’t wait until the return of the hit television show – here are some spoilers to hold you over until the big day.
There will be a new character, Jesse, played by Jonathan Groff. Jesse will play Rachel’s new love interest. According to People, he’s the lead singer of Vocal Adrenaline, the evil empire group, so that sort of throws Finn off his game.
Puck is going to be a player – not that this should be surprising – but this time around he doesn’t have any boundaries. He may have gotten Quinn knocked up but he’s dating everybody, including Mercedes!
Kurt, played by Chris Colfer, will get a boyfriend too!!
What else can we expect from Glee this season – more music. Instead of the 3-4 songs per episode there will 6-8 songs. Musical tributes include Madonna, Lady Gaga and Steve Perry.
Sectionals is finally here for the Glee Club but not without a whole lot of drama first.

Emma delays her wedding to Ken a few hours so she can stand in for Will at the sectionals. The Glee Club is completely freaked out when all of their songs are being sung by the other competitors. Will confronts Sue about leaking their song list. Sue doesn’t admit to anything but is all too happy to let Will know that she can’t wait to see the end of the Glee Club and take their budget!! When the Glee Club is left out of the yearbook because of budget cuts, everyone seems to be relieved that they won’t have to suffer the ridicule of years past. Everyone except Rachel, that is, who wants her legacy cemented in print.
In order to get the Glee Club in the yearbook, Will has to pay for what would have been advertising space. Since they are only getting a 1/4 of a page they can only have two of the members of the Glee Club in the photo. Rachel is the only person who wants to be in the photo but they need one more person. Finally Rachel convinces Finn to be in the photo and even teaches him how to smile. Read the rest of this entry »

Finn confesses to Rachel that he liked the way she usually dressed – leg warmers and all. Kurt helped Rachel with the makeover knowing that Finn liked girls that don’t wear a lot of make-up. Rachel confronts Kurt about the makeover and realizes that he has a crush on Finn. Kurt tells Rachel that neither of them will ever have Finn.
Once again, Glee has hit it out of the park for another home run episode. Mr Schuester gives the definition of Ballad as “stories set to music, that is why they are the perfect storm of self expression”. A song style that is synonymous with what this series, in particular, this episode is all about.
Mr. Schuester splits the Glee Club into pairs to sing their favorite ballad. When Rachel is left without a partner, Mr. Schuester becomes her partner. The opening duet of “Endless Love” between the pair was the spark that started Rachel’s crush. Rachel’s crush leads to her cook dinner for Mr. Schuester – no worries since his wife is home and she even cleans the bathroom for them. Mr. Schuester tries to tell Rachel how he feels about her by singing a mashup of Don’t Stand So Close To Me but it ends up having the reverse effect when Rachel thinks Mr. Schuester can’t stand too close to her because of how he feels. Eventually, Rachel came to her senses after receiving some advise from a former stalker student.
We finally had the opportunity to meet Quinn’s mom and dad, and Finn’s mom. Finn confides in his mom about the pregnancy after she catches him singing “I’ll Stand By You” by the Pretenders to a ultrasound on his laptop. Finn receives love and support from his mom and decides to tell Quinn’s parent. Imagine their shock finding out that their daughter, the president of the celibacy club, is pregnant. They don’t turn out to be as supportive after Finn sings Paul Anka’s “You’re Having My Baby” to Quinn at dinner. Her dad gave her a half an hour to pack up and move out.
The episode ends when the cast comes together for an amazing performance of , “Lean on Me” to show support for Quinn and Finn.

Will tries to get a handi-capable vehicle that’s able to transport him along with the rest of Glee to Sectionals. However Principal Figgins says it is not in the budget so Glee Club has a bake sale which amazingly raises $1,200. Will also requires Glee members to spend 3-hours a day in wheelchairs. At first, the cupcakes are a tough sell but with a little help from Puck the students can’t help but get the munchies.
Meanwhile, Quinn spends the majority of this episode bitching at Finn to get a job and give her money. Puck sees an opportunity to impress Quinn and prove he can be a provider by giving her $685 for a sonogram.
Now, let’s talk about the ultimate diva-off, Kurt vs. Rachel. The big power ballad for sectionals will be Defying Gravity from Wicked. Rachel and Kurt are thrilled. They both want it but Will gives it to Rachel because she’s got the powerhouse female voice. Kurt’s dad goes to bat for Kurt and goes to the school to protest his son not being able to audition for the song. Kurt gets his audition and he and Rachel compete for the song.
However, Kurt throws the audition after his dad gets a prank call that says ’Your son’s a F–.’ He tells his dad that he intentionally blundered because of a simple fact: “When I saw you, right after you got that call. And you were so hurt and so upset. It just killed me. I’m not saying I’m going to hide in the closet. I’m proud of who I am. I’m just saying that I love you more than being a star.” Read the rest of this entry »
