Have U Heard??

We all knew this was going to happen.  Given the ratings slump of  Jon & Kate Plus 8,  the pending divorce of the couple and Jon’s public display of hatred towards soon to be ex-wife Kate it was only a matter of time. 

TLC has announced that the show will officially  change its name on November 2 to reflect the couple’s divorce, which was filed for in June.

“Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family,” said Eileen O’Neill, president and general manager of TLC, the cable channel that airs the show.

“Kate Plus 8″ will document Gosselin’s life as a single mother raising 5-year-old sextuplets and 8-year-old twins.

Jon will continue to appear on the show, but on a less regular basis, said TLC.

In Touch Magazine is reporting that Jon Gosselin has filed papers to delay the divorce. 

“He woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and didn’t like the reflection,” Jon’s attorney, Mark Jay Heller, tells In Touch. “He realized he’d made some bad choices.” Jon and Kate were due to be officially divorced by the end of November — but now he claims he’s had a serious change of heart. “I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated [on June 22],” Jon tells In Touch exclusively. “I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon.”

I have to ask the question we are all thinking – which came first Jon’s change of heart or TLC changing the name of the show??

Kate Gosselin appeared a bit guarded during her appearance on Larry King Live last night.

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star appeared on the Larry King show to set the record straight about her and her soon-to-be ex husband’s promiscuous ways.

When asked if Jon–who was recently quoted as saying he was tired of taping his TLC show–was a good father, Kate paused for a moment.

“Uh, his decisions right now are not the ones I would necessarily make, but down deep in his heart, I know he is,” she said. “I’m looking more toward the future and the decisions of today that affect tomorrow, more so than he is.”

Police were called to the Gosselin house Thursday night after Jon and Kate got into a heated argument, according to RadarOnline.com.

A source close to the situation said,

“Kate showed up at the house unexpectedly. It’s Jon’s scheduled time to be there with the kids. Kate couldn’t get access to the house. She was upset”.

So much for Kate’s press junket telling everyone that the couple are civil and they are doing what is best for the children.

It’s not clear who called the police. But it is clear that Jon didn’t want Kate there and they argued.

Police arrived but no arrests were made. Kate left and checked into a local hotel.

Divorce can be messy. Let’s hope this is just a one time thing and the Gosselin’s get their acts together!!

I wonder if we’ll see this on TLC??

After a much needed hiatus, Jon & Kate Plus 8 will return with new episodes starting TONIGHT @ 9PM ET/PT on TLC. Since the couple is now split up, this season will focus on the trials and tribulations of separately parenting 8 children, and maybe Jon’s very active dating life.

Watch the sneak peek of episode “Renovations & Vacations” above!! Looks like Kate will be struggling to pitch a tent so that her kids can camp in the family’s backyard.

Just when you thought you’ve seen it all – Herobuilders has come out with Jon and Kate Gosselin Dolls.

While the Kate Gosselin doll is wearing a t-shirt that says ‘Living the Dream’, the Jon Gosselin doll is wearing a shirt that says ‘Living the Nightmare’.

I’m not so sure Jon’s ‘Living The Nightmare’. Jon has been spotted in France with his new girlfriend and he also has a new BFF – Michael Lohan (Lindsay’s dad), who he has been seen hanging out with in the Hamptons.

Kate is ‘Living The Dream’ raising her eight children – while Jon is out enjoying his newfound single status. Something tells me raising eight children alone while your ex is out partying is not exactly a dream.

It’s been less than a month since Kate Gosselin filed for divorce and Jon Gosselin has been seen out and about with Hailey Glassman, 22 (the daughter of the doctor who performed Kate’s tummy tuck). The two were spotted holding hands in St. Tropez in the French Riviera on Saturday.

It hasn’t taken long for Jon Gosselin to move on!   Not that I am surprised – the rumors have been circulating about Jon’s extra curricular activities for months.

Jon, an Ed Hardy fan, and Glassman went for a ride on the yacht of fashion designer — and Ed Hardy exec — Christian Audigier.

According to Radar,  Gosselin is trying to get Glassman her own sandal and shoe line!  

You know the saying – “It’s not what you know – it’s who you know”:)

Kate Gosselin filed the divorce papers.   Kate released the following statement,

“Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children.”

Kate was very reluctant about moving towards a divorce – what do you think compelled Kate to make this move??  Is it the fact that Jon was looking for an apartment in Manhattan this weekend??  Or is it something we don’t know??

Jon and Kate filed for divorce today (6/22/09) in Reading, PA.   On tonight’s episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 they discuss the fact that they are getting a separation.  They never mentioned divorce but it was displayed on the television that the papers for the dissolution of the marriage were filed today.

Jon, who has often commented that he does not like doing the show, stated that he is thankful for the show so that Jon & Kate can discuss what they want to – and not have it reported in the tabloids.  Jon’s big question was why do the papparazzi care what he had for lunch when they should really care about the soldiers in  Iraq.

Jon admits to being too passive in the relationship and that Kate ruled the roost.  He also stated that he is finally able to stand on his own two feet.  Unfortunately this comes at the expense of the family.  Jon said he is 32 and  is “excited” about his future.  Who uses the word “excited” when discussing a divorce?? 

Jon mentioned on several occassions during the show that he does not hate Kate.  Unfortunately – he always put the word BUT after saying  “I don’t hate Kate – BUT“.  So in other words – he does hate her.  I guess he hasn’t been watching Dr. Phil enough. Read the rest of this entry »
