Tonight’s episode of Survivor: Heroes VS. Survivor Recap 2/25/10

Survivor’s episode tonight was very muddy.  The immunity/reward challenge had the competitors faced off one-on-one on a platform with the goal of pushing their opponent into a mud pit using a large beanbag.  The Heroes dominated with a clean sweep or muddy sweep, winning all eight match-ups.  The Villains received an appointment at Tribal Council with Jeff and the Heroes went back to camp with the luxury items - coffee, sugar and a week’s worth of rice.

Tonight Boston Rob made the observation with his Survivor wisdom,  if you want to know who’s working with who, just check out how people sleep at night and who they sleep with.   Rob is a wise one.

With the Villains heading to Tribal everyone is jocking for alliances and strategizing their next move.  The buzz around camp was to vote off Parvati or Randy.  Some of the tribe feels that Parvati gets away with too much because of her pretty smile and her wiggle.

Ultimately, Randy was sent packing with the following votes - Randy, Boston Rob, Randy, Randy, Randy, Randy, Randy. With 6 votes, Randy was voted out of the tribe.  He leaves quietly and doesn’t look back. Jeff reminds them that it may only be eight days together, but if they don’t get their camp life together, they will be back to see him, and sends them back to camp.

Next week on Survivor: Heroes vs Villains
Coach has a break down, crying that no one is saying anything good about him. Rob feels that it is time for Russell to go home.

Randy’s last words:
Randy is the one who gave Rob a vote and says that he never felt a part of this tribe, so oh well.

Survivor Recap 2/18/10 Heroes Vs. Villains

Survivor ended last week with the image of Boston Rob unconscious in the woods. Not to worry, the boy from Bean town is alive and well. He passed out after complaining he wasn’t feeling well. The medics were called in and revived him, letting him return to the game. In Rob’s words it was the flu and a touch of crybabyitis. But he had a moment of clarity and he is done with being the nice guy, because it’s killing him.

The Villains are having a difficult time getting an adequate shelter and have become very frustrated sleeping in the rain. But it didn’t affect them during the immunity/reward challenge. The Heroes couldn’t get it together to stack six crates to spell out the name of their tribe. The Villains dominated and returned to camp with camping gear. The Heroes were sent to tribal council to send another member of their tribe home.

Before heading out to vote, the Heroes were tense and arguing. James campaigned hard to get rid of Stephanie and he succeeded in his mission.

At tribal council, James carried on about his tribes performance at the challenge.  He laid into Stephanie, but the gallant Colby and Tom put him in his place.  Unfortunately, she was still sent packing.

What did you think of James’ behavior??

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

Survivor Heroes VS. Villains premiered tonight for the start of the show’s 10th year and 20th season. The 20 castaways from former seasons were split into two teams, based on their previous strategies, 10 Heroes against 10 Villains.

Some of our favorite contestants returned to Outwit, Outplay, Outlast!

The Heroes won the very physical reward challenge and returned to camp with the flint to make fire. They also returned to camp with two injured players. After the challenge, the medics popped Stephenie’s dilocated shoulder back in and Rupert had his broken toe taped up.

Boston Rob went back to his camp and started a fire by basically rubbing two sticks together. You go Rob!!

Both of the teams spent time setting up camp and scrambling to form alliances.

The Heroes were sent to Tribal Council after losing the Immunity Challenge.

The tribe considered many options, but they found Sugar too emotional and annoying so she was sent home. The tribe has spoken.

The preview for next week’s episode shows the Medics trying to revive Boston Rob who is unconscious in the woods.

Survivor:Samoa Recap 11/5/09 ‘All Hell Breaks Loose’

samoa

Foa Foa was praying for a merge tonight, the 4 remaining tribe members agreed their best move wass unity if the merge happened.  Their prayers are answered.  The two tribes met on the beach and found a treasure chest containing new buffs with an invite to a feast at their new home, the old Galu camp.

Russell, in his typical fashion, starts working the crowd to align with the Galu tribe and secure his safety.  The old Galu tribe is a bit cocky but Russell feels confident that he can get the votes to eliminate Laura.  Russell has targeted Laura because she put him in his place which really pissed him off.

The new merged Survivor tribe is now named Aiga, Samoa slang for extended family.  Aiga arrives for the first individual challenge of the season.  The tribe will compete in a T-ball challenge, the women against the women and the men against the men.  One woman and one man would win immunity.  My favorite exchange of the night was when Dave was up at bat.

Jeff:  Dave, is baseball your sport?

Dave:  No, making love is my sport.

Jeff:  Play much?

Dave:  Not as often as I like.

John and Laura won immunity which screwed up Russell’s plan of voting off Laura.

Russell exposed his idol (immunity idol that is) to many of the players so they wanted to flush it out.  In an effort to do so Erik told the other 3 Foa Foa tribe members to vote off Monica when in reality they planned on voting off Jaison.  However, the old Foa Foa tribe found Erik to be very condescending and planned to vote Eric off.

At tribal council, Erik, feeling very smug and confident insulted Jaison and Russell and basically told them they were dead men.  Well, Jaison and Russell had the last laugh.  Erik was voted off leaving the game a little humbler and with an immunity idol in is pocket.  Russell did play his immunity idol, although he didn’t need to.  Which puts him in a very vulnerable position for next week.

Erik’s parting words:

He doesn’t regret going home with the idol since this blindside was invisible to him. He says that he played the game with his whole heart.

Next week on Survivor Samoa:

The old Galu declares open season on Russell. He is out of idols, low on friends, and possibly out of luck.

SURVIVOR: SAMOA

Survivor:Samoa begins tonight with the men of Galu deciding to make Shambo the new tribe leader after the unexpected exit of Chief Russell last week.  The Galu men want to increase their chances against the women on their tribe and hope to do so by working with Shambo.

The reward challenge is a memory game: thirteen pairs of survival items and four dummy pieces with no matches.  The first to get to seven points wins, although tribal chiefs have the option to take an item they matched in exchange for a point. They are playing for a trip on a sailboat for an afternoon out on the water with a full lunch and the opportunity to send one member to the losing tribe as a spy. Galu wins the challenge and as the new tribe leader, Read the rest of this entry »
