DWTS, Season 9, Week 4, ReCap 10/12/09

This week’s DWTS
leaves the 11 remaining couples to compete against each other.
Chuck Lidell and Anna
Dance: Two Step
Judges Comments: Once again Len said the couple was entertaining but the quality of the dancing isn’t there. Bruno and Carrie Ann said that the two step suited the couple.
Score: 17/30 (same as last week)
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark
Dance: Charleston
Judges Comments: Bruno said that Melissa brought the 1920’s back to life. Carrie Ann said that was there dance. Breakthrough. Len said there was energy, excitement and entertainment.
Score: 28/30
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark looked really cute dancing like an old time silent movie. ABC even showed the first 20 seconds in black and white like an old film. They should remarkeable improvement this week. The first 10 of the season and the first time they scored in the 20’s.
Natalie Coughlin and Alec
Dance: Bolero
Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said it was beautiful but she did see struggle with the movements, Len said it was beautiful but it needed more romance. Bruno said Natalie needed to watch her arms.
Score: 24/30
Aaron Carter and Karina
Dance: Lambada
Judges Comments: Len said he like Aaron’s enthusiasm but needed to be a bit more raunchy. Bruno said you need to translate the feelings through his body, Carrie Ann said Aaron needs to chill out and that he is trying too hard.
Score: 18/30
Mark Dacascos and Lacey
Dance: Two Step
Judges Comments: Bruno said Mark’s confidence was much improved. Carrie Ann said the confidence was there and a connection with Lacey. Len said they looked great and very well done.
Score: 22/30
Kelly Osbourne and Louie
Dance: Charleston
Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said it is great to watch Kelly dance, Len said they were confident and it was a great performance and Bruno said, it was a great tribute to Liza Minnelli.
Score: 23/30
Joanna Krupa and Derek
Dance: Lambada
Judges Comments: Len said Derek never disappoints with the choreography and it was a great job, Bruno said “Don’t try this at home” it was hot, hot,hot and Carrie Ann said she hoped that the children were in bed sleeping.
Score: 26/30
Donny Osmond and Kym
Dance: Charleston
Judges Comments: Bruno said Donny was in his element, Carrie Ann said they played to their strengths and they moved very well together and Len said they looked good and danced good together.
Score: 24/30
Michael Irvin and Anna
Dance: Bolero
Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said she definitely saw the romance but there wasn’t enough dancing and too many poses, Len thought this dance was more difficult but Michael did a great job and Bruno compared Michael’s dancing to the economy – not much improvement.
Score: 16/30
Professional dancer, Tony came to help Michael with the Bolera. They scored 2 more points than last week.
Louie Vito and Chelsie
Dance: Two Step
Judges Comments: Len said it was a series of walks – not enough going on in that routine, Bruno said their timing was off and Carrie Ann said there was too much shuffeling going on.
Score: 16/30
Mya and Dmitri
Dance: Lambada
Judges Comments: Bruno said it was an erotic, exoctic, roller coaster, Carrie Ann said Mya’s on fire and the dance was amazing and Len said his expectations were high and he felt that he would get more in the Lambada.
Score: 28/30
Carrie Ann and Bruno once again gave the couple a 10.
The highest score of the evening was a 28/30 for Mya and Dmitiri and Melissa Joan Hart and Mark. The lowest score of the evening went to Michael Irvin and Anna scoring a 16 and Louie and Chelsie also scoring a 16. It looks like Mya and Dmitri are taking the lead as far as the judges go – who is your favorite??
Tomorrow night’s show will have Shakira as the musical performer.
