DWTS, Week 5, ReCap 10/19/09

We’re down to the final 10 dancers. In addition to the couples performing their individual routines they will also be performing the hustle as a group dance.
Natalie Coughlin and Alec
Dance: Paso Doble
Judges Comments: Len said they needed a bit more chemistry between them two, Bruno refers to Natalie as the wonder woman but felt the dance was wonderless.
Score: 22/30
Aaron Carter and Karina
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Bruno said there was control and it was effective. Carrie Ann and Aaron kissed an made up. Len said you came back to me. They all loved Aaron.
Score: 24/30
Michael Irvin and Anna
Dance: Paso Doble
Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said finally – my favorite dance so far, Len said this was better than the bolera and Bruno agreed.
Score: 21/30
Mya and Dmitri
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Len said he liked their dancing, Bruno said it was intricate and precise, Carrie Ann said Mya moves so well but what was slightly lacking was the connection.
Score: 27/30
Mark Dacascos and Lacey
Dance: Paso Doble
Judges Comments: Bruno said Mark was on it. Carrie Ann said they were in their power and Len said you need posture, passion and performance – you had all three.
Score: 26/30
Their highest score yet!!
Donny Osmond and Kym
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Carrie Ann said the Argentine Tango loves Donny Osmond – it was so darn sexy, Len said the intensity of the dance was great and it was Donny’s best dance, Bruno loved it and said Donny was in a “dark” place to which Donny responded, “You took me there”.
Score: 29/30
Louie Vito and Chelsie
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Len said I wasn’t expecting a lot but I was pleasantly surprised – it was your best dance yet, Bruno said great story telling but you’re still stepping it and Carrie Ann said there was still too much walking but Louie was definitely leading Chelsie.
Score: 22/30
Their best score yet!!
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Bruno said that Melissa lost her steps a few times and she looked grumpy rather than sexy. Carrie Ann disagreed and felt that Melissa was in character. Len felt that the seduction was lacking.
Score: 23/30
Kelly Osbourne and Louie
Dance: Paso Doble
Judges Comments: Len said the nervousness wasn’t there but Kelly needed to get into charachter. Bruno said when you’re on it you can deliver – so stay on it.
Score: 24/30
Kelly and Louie danced to one of Ozzie Osbourne’s songs, Crazy Train and they received their highest score yet!!
Joanna Krupa and DerekMaks
Dance: Argentine Tango
Judges Comments: Bruno said he was living his fantasies up until the tumble, Len said they did a great job and Carrie Ann said they also did a great job.
Score: 24/30
Derek was sick this week – so Maks took his place.
The high score of the evening was 29/30 for Donny Osmond and Kym. The low score went to Michael Irvin and Anna with a 21/30.
The group dance was the hustle. Mark Ballas’ father, Corky taught the dance. The outfits and the men’s wigs were awesome!! Oh – and so was the dancing!!
