Ghost Whisperer Recap 10/02/09
When I first started watching the Ghost Whisperer tonight I thought I accidently turned on a soap opera. Melinda and Jim had the night all to themselves – Aiden went to bed early and Jim had the night off. The couple shared a few steamy moments before we see Ned and a girl (Brianna) also sharing an intimate moment. When Brianna walked into the other room she sees blood (nail polish) on the walls and a bloody doll hanging from the ceiling with the eyes sewn shut.
Brianna had a friend Gwen who died when she was hit by a car after getting into a car accident with her mother. Brianna and Gwen were not on the best of terms when Gwen passed away. After Gwen’s death a chain letter email from her was being sent around campus with a photo of a doll, Sally Stich, whose eyes were sewn shut. It turns out that Gwen had received the email while she was driving with her mother and deleted the email. Gwen is trying to keep the e-mail going to save her mother who is in a coma.
Ned receives the chain letter email from Gwen and deletes it. After he deletes the email – a message appears across the screen that says, ‘Someone you love will suffer’. Ned’s mother has a fire in her kitchen, burns her hand and is brought to the ER. While Ned is trying to get to his mother, a branch falls from a tree and scratches his eye with an x – just like Sally Stich.
Melinda, Ned and Eli are on a mission to find out the origin of the e-mail. They find out that the email is coming from a child who lives in the hospital because she has been ill her entire life.
Melinda discovers that Gwen’s mother has a tumor on her brain stem causing her to have a seizure that resulted in the car accident.
Gwen and her mother crossed over but prior to crossing over Gwen warned Melinda to be careful.
This episode was a let down for me after the exciting season premiere. What do you think??
