Glee ReCap 12/2/09 ‘Mattress’

When the Glee Club is left out of the yearbook because of budget cuts, everyone seems to be relieved that they won’t have to suffer the ridicule of years past. Everyone except Rachel, that is, who wants her legacy cemented in print.
In order to get the Glee Club in the yearbook, Will has to pay for what would have been advertising space. Since they are only getting a 1/4 of a page they can only have two of the members of the Glee Club in the photo. Rachel is the only person who wants to be in the photo but they need one more person. Finally Rachel convinces Finn to be in the photo and even teaches him how to smile.
The football team gives Finn a hard time about being in the yearbook photo so he bails on Rachel. During the photoshoot Rachel finds out that the photographer is casting for a commercial and gets the Glee Club casted. They perform the song ‘Jump’ for a mattress commercial.
While looking for something in his bedroom, Will finds Terri’s pregnancy pad. All hell breaks loose and Terri confesses that she did it to save their marriage. Will walks out of the apartment. Ironically, the Glee Club gets mattresses delivered to the school as payment for shooting their commercial. Perfect – Will can sleep at the school!!
Sue sees the commercial and has the Glee Club disqualified from the sectionals. Their payment was the mattresses. Since Will slept on a mattress they can’t return it. The Glee Club can perform in the sectionals but Will cannot attend.
Meanwhile, Quinn makes it her mission to be in the Cheerios cheerleader yearbook photo and succeeds by blackmailing Sue. She also gets Sue to give one of the Cheerios pages to the Glee Club. Quinn then tells Sue to forget about her being in the Cheerios photo.
One more episode of Glee and then there will be a hiatus until April.
