Have U Heard??

Have U Heard attended the 34th annual Gracie Awards, June 3, 2009, at the  Broadway Ballroom of the New York Marriott Marquis in Manhattan. 

 The Gracie Awards are presented by American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT).  For 58 years, AWRT has served as the voice and resource for women in the media.

The Gracie Awards strive to encourage the realistic and faceted portrayal of women in entertainment, commercials, news, features and other programs. The Gracies Gala brings together industry luminaries, broadcasting and cable professionals, and students who gather in New York to celebrate the outstanding achievements of their colleagues and peers.

“The power of this year’s Gracie Award winners showcase how vital a role women in the industry continue to have,” said Sylvia Strobel, Esq., chair of the AWRT in a statement. “We are honored to shine a spotlight on them and debut the new web site in conjunction with their recognition.”

Some of this year’s winners include Katie Couric, Kathy Griffin, Barbara Walters,  Mariska Hargitay, Suze Orman, Debbie Morgan, Rachael Ray, Amy Poehler, Keke Palmer and Bob Schieffer.

The awards were presented by some of the following,  The Real Housewives of New York, Suze Orman, Elvis Duran,  Melissa Rivers, Cornelius Smith and Ann Curry.

All the attendees looked stunning on the red carpet.  It was a fabulous event!!
