Have U Heard??

She’s back – actually they are both back.  Meredith is out of bed (her maternity leave is over) and Izzy has finally made her way back to Seattle Grace.

Izzy returns with her high school mentor, Dr. Singer, who is suffering from dementia.  Izzy wants a battery of tests for Dr. Singer and Dr. Percy is giving her a hard time about it until Izzy calls him a b**ch and threatens to tell Reid that he digs her.  After a spinal tap, Dr. Singer becomes lucid.  He needs surgery but can’t afford it – so Izzy asks the Chief if they could do the surgery pro-bono.  When the Chief says no, Izzy brings up the $8 million that she donated to the hospital and threatens to go to the press and the board.  Needless to say – the surgery is performed.

A cardio god, Teddie Altman, has been brought on board by Owen.  Teddie is a former colleague of Owen’s from Iraq.  Christina gives Teddie the third degree about her background and Teddie doesn’t meet up to Christina’s standards.  In true Christina fashion she thanks Owen for the gift but tells him to return her.  At this point Christina should be happy for any Cardiologist since Grace Seattle hasn’t seen one in months. She eventually is able to move past it when she performs an awesome surgery and Teddie teaches her how to do it.

Teddie tells Owen that she thought he would have called her if he and his old girlfriend,Beth, broke up. Owen seems surprised by her feelings.

After the chief fails to come home, the chief’s wife, Adelle, asks Bailey if she is having an affair with the chief.   Callie answers by saying that they are work wife and work husband, they watch out for each other.

The chief performs gallbladder surgery and clips a bile duct.  Bailey covers for him by telling him that no one is going to find out about it.  She thinks the chief is having an affair and asks him if it’s Izzy – the chief laughed too:)  The chief decides to take a step back from surgery and requests that Bailey take over for him. The chief then goes to the bar and goes on a drinking binge.

Izzy accuses Alex of getting her fired and tells him that she cannot forgive him.  Alex tells Izzy that he can’t forgive her for leaving without giving him the benefit of the doubt.  Will they make it or is this the end of their marriage??
