Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig Request You Turn Off Your Cell Phone

Someone didn’t take note of the warning the audience receives right before a Broadway play begins. While Huge Jackman and Daniel Craig were attempting to get through ‘A Steady Rain’ someone’s phone began to ring. Jackman tried to ignore the sound but ended up addressing the viewer.
He kept in character as he ranted,
“You wanna get that? You wanna get it, grab it! I don’t care, grab it. Grab your phone. It doesn’t matter.”
When the phone continued to ring, he shouted,
“C’mon, just turn it off – unless you got a better story and you wanna get out and tell your story!”
The audience laughed and applauded their efforts, but minutes later the phone rang once more, prompting a frustrated Craig to shout,
“Can you get that, whoever that is? Can you get it? We can wait, just get the phone.”
Jackman joked,
“Don’t be embarrassed, just grab it. We’ve all done it!”
I thought it was just the audience that gets annoyed when someone’s cell phone rings at the WORST possible moments. It seems the actors get annoyed too.
Bravo to Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig for speaking out. How embarrassing for the person who kept receiving the calls – although they should have turned the phone off after the first ring or at least walked out of the play to take the call. What do you think??
