Have U Heard??

We live blogged for Jon & Kate Plus 8 tonight.   Here is the re-cap of the episode:

The show started off with Kate and Jon being interviewed separately. Kate stated,

“Very swiftly we turned into two different people and its hard.”

Jon said,

“I hate the media storm stuff. I did not sign up for the public scrutiny.”

Jon claims that people are getting paid off to say anything – upwards of $20,000.   He didn’t clarify if that was his family or the woman from his alleged affair. Believe it or not – Jon has never read a tabloid magazine until he was in it (he said that was the first and last time)

Kate admitted that both she and Jon have made some mistakes. Jon stands firm that he has never cheated. Kate stated that she is the maddest that she is being scrutinized by the public for doing her job – her book signing, etc.

Kate is busy preparing for the children’s 5th birthday party. Jon took off for the weekend so he is not around to help Kate. Kate seems resentful that he left for the weekend. Jon makes it to the children’s bouncy party in the park. Jon and Kate get through the party with very little interaction.

Jon seems very conflicted – he states that the show is his life and his career. In no other place does that exist. He also feels resentful that Kate is out traveling all the time.   Jon says being home with the kids was chosen for him.   It was not his choice.

Kate discusses the fact that marriages of people who have had multiples has a higher rate of divorce.   She had hoped that she and Jon would beat that statistic but isn’t sure that will happen anymore.

The show ends with TLC asking Jon and Kate where they are now??  They both respond that they don’t know.  Kate says she is in and Jon says he is there for the kids.
