Julianne Hough’s First Photos As Sandy In “Grease: Live” Arrive Right Before DWTS Finale

Julianne Hough is busy prepping for the two-night season twenty-one “Dancing With the Stars” finale special. And even though fans are busy thinking about finalists Carlos PenaVega, Alek Skarlatos, Bindi Irwin and Nick Carter, Hough has something special to share with the world via FOX. The first photos of Hough as Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny from “Grease: Live” have been released and it is safe to say, they have the look down to perfection. I’d say that they should get all tens.

The show will air live on January 31st and this means that Hough will be leaving her longtime home on ABC for the night to go to FOX where she will join Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens and a slew more of faves for the television rendition of the hit seventies film. “Dancing With the Stars” guest judge Olivia Newton-John played naïve Australian transfer student Sandy in the hit sing-along film alongside John Travolta as bad boy Danny Zuko which became a Broadway musical that starred Brooke Shields and Rosie O’Donnell. Hudgens of “High School Musical” fame has been cast as the head of the Pink Ladies, Rizzo and current DWTS and former member of “Big Time Rush” PenaVega will play her love interest Kenickie. Joining in on the Pink Ladies crew is KeKe Palmer from “Scream Queens” as Marty and “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy. Kether Donohue will play Jan who infamously walked around campus with her chipmunk cheeks and pigtails.

We have yet to learn if any of the original cast which includes Stockard Channing will appear in the musical but many may be skeptical of the musical. We have seen ups and downs for Carrie Underwood as she starred in the live version of “The Sound of Music” while “Peter Pan Live” was questionable. The next musical to go live will be on December 3rd, “The Wiz: Live!” which will star Queen Latifah, David Alan Grier, Common and many more. Hough has also not had the most success with her films such as “Footloose,” “Rock Of Ages” and “Safe Haven” but I am quite hopeful for “Grease: Live.” What are your thoughts? Should she be acting, singing, dancing or just stick with dancing? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter @haveuheard1.
