The Real Housewives of Orange County – Season 5 Premiere – 11/05/09
Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Orange County is as crazy as ever and even more dramatic than the past 4 seasons – if that is possible.
Life is taking a turn for the ladies of the OC. Jeana, who will be leaving the show in a couple of weeks, is stressing out about money. She has her house on the market – after all moving into a 5,000 square foot house won’t be that bad. Tamara’s marriage is definitely hitting a rough patch. Her husband can’t say enough nasty things to her – and she looks like she is willing to do anything to keep the peace.
Gretchen who lost her fiance, Jeff, to cancer last year is getting her life back on track. Gretchen is dating Slade Smiley, Jo’s ex-boyfriend. Gretchen and Slade had been friends for 8 years before they started dating.
Lynne’s jewelry business is taking off – I am sure the publicity from the show is contributing to the success.
Vicki’s marriage was a mess last year. This year they are trying to focus on their marriage and enjoy their time together. It’s not a lot of time since the two of them are always traveling – just not together. I am sure the 6 1/2 carat diamond ring that Don bought Vicki has helped.
Vicki and Tamara are still bff. Jeana asked to borrow money from Vicki , Vicki said no and never heard from her again. Jeana later says that she was upset with Vicki for changing realtors when she knew that Jeana was going through a very difficult time. Tamara and Vicki discuss Gretchen’s naked photos that surfaced on the internet.
Tamara has major issues with Gretchen and the fact that she “may” have had a relationship outside of Jeff when Jeff was dying. Gretchen has major issues with Tamara because she doesn’t understand why she would believe these lies.
Lynn hosts a dinner party to show her new line to all of her friends. This is the first time that Vicki and Jeanna are seeing each other in quite a while. Gretchen and Tamara do not even acknowledge each other – creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere. During dinner the fighting begins. Gretchen accuses Tamara of going to the press to say horrible things about her. Tamara calls Gretchen a hooker. Gretchen calls Tamara a whore. Nice ladies. So much for the two of them promising to handle the situation with class. I don’t know that class is a word that could be associated with either of them. What do you think??
Is this going to be a season of cat fighting between Tamara and Gretchen. It’s entertaining for all of 20 seconds but we are going to need something else to hold our attention. Next week Tamara is crying because of financial problems. Will that do it??

i hat tamara.
if she had paid more attention to her own sad life instead of worrying about what Gretchen is doing, perhaps she wouldn’t be looking at a sad marriage, unhappy husband, and tons of loss.

Tamara – get your OWN life and stop worrying about Gretchen. She is GROWN and she can do what she wants. And you are grown,
so start acting like it. Mind your own business, mind your own life. Tamara you are a mean, ugly, fake, sad excuse for a woman!

I hate Tamara she accuses Gretchen of all this stuff but yet after she splits from her husband she goes out with Simons friend she is such a coniving bitch. I think she should leave the show.
