Rihanna – ‘Russian Roulette’ Lyrics
Take a breath, take it deep
Calm yourself, he says to me
If you play, you play for keeps
Take a gun, and count to three
I’m sweating now, moving slow
No time to think, my turn to go
[Chorus]
And you can see my heart beating
You can see it through my chest
And I’m terrified but I’m not leaving
Know that I must must pass this test
So just pull the trigger
Say a prayer to yourself
He says close your eyes
Sometimes it helps
And then I get a scary thought
That he’s here means he’s never lost
(Chorus)
As my life flashes before my eyes
I’m wondering will I ever see another sunrise?
So many won’t get the chance to say goodbye
But it’s too late too pick up the value of my life
(Chorus)

I love the song and I think it clearly explains her state of mind. That she loves him, but feel as though if she did go back to him, it will be playing a game of Russian Roulette. It is a great risk that she is taking not just with her life, but her career. Just give her a bit more time to finish healing so she can get back to where she used to be. I totally love Rhiana and this song, because I am in the same position that she is in. I can’t wait til her album drops in November.

I totally agree Gervonna… there are so many people that are critisizing this song due to its content but they dont get it….its a METAPHORE…it has nothing to do with her really shooting herself… its like Poems and Art…. it may say one thing but you must really feel the piece to understand its meaning….. I think its art!
