Salma Hayek and Dora the Explorer Celebrate (photos)

Salma Hayek, Dora the Explorer and her sidekick Boots attended Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer’s 10th anniversary event held at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio on Tuesday (March 2) in Burbank, California.
To celebrate the popular Spanish-speaking animated character, Nickelodeon will launch ‘Beyond the Backpack,’ a campaign that supports overall school readiness for preschoolers. Anniversary plans also include four prime-time TV specials; an original documentary produced by Academy Award-nominated Brett Morgen; and new online Dora content for preschoolers and their parents.
The limited edition celebrity-designed backpacks will be put up for sale in countries across the world including the U.S., Britain, Canada, France and Spain, and money raised from the auction will benefit childhood education programs in each respective country. Shakira, Salma Hayek and former Guns n’ Roses rocker Slash, will contribute to the design of backpacks.

Sounds like it was a lot of fun. It would be so cool to be able to grab one of those limited-edition backpacks.
