Jenni Rivera and six others died Sunday morning in Mexico after the plane she was traveling on from Monterrey to Toluca, crashed shortly after takeoff, leaving no survivors.

Rivera, 43, four other passengers and two pilots were aboard the plane during the tragic crash.

Mexico’s transportation ministry says the plane lost contact with radar at 3:15 AM, approximately 61 miles from Monterrey, where the Mexican-American singer performed on Saturday night.

According to transportation and communication minister Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, the remains of the plane were found in Nuevo Leon state, and “everything points toward it being the plane” in which Rivera was traveling.

Rivera was named one of the 25 most powerful women by People en Español and reportedly signed on recently to do a comedy pilot for ABC. She has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.

Gibb’s family issued a formal statement,

“The family of Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time,” continued the statement.

Gibb was best known as a member of the Bee Gees, which he performed in with his twin brother Maurice and older brother Barry.

The band’s hits included “Stayin’ Alive,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” and “Night Fever.”

Dick Clark had been in ailing health for a number of years.  At the age of 82, the legend has died due to a massive heart attack.

Clark, known as the “Oldest Teenager in America”, suffered a severe stroke in 2004. In recent years Clark appeared on his New Year’s Eve special from Times Square with Ryan Seacrest hosting.

A statement made by his publicist said,

“Attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful. He is survived by his wife Kari and his three children, RAC, Duane and Cindy”

Ryan Seacrest, known as the Dick Clark of the 21st century made a statement, as well,

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark,” Seacrest Tweeted. “He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.”

Wallace died on Saturday night after years of being ill, surrounded by family.

Mike began his career as an actor and game-show host, before transitioning to the hard news. He was most famous for his tough interviews on 60 Minutes, making him one of the most commanding and imitated fixtures of TV journalism for more than two generations.

The autopsy has confirmed that the cause of death was accidental “due to, or as a consequence of” the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.”   Toxicology tests showed multiple drugs and medications in her system including, cocaine, Benadril, the muscle relaxer Flexeril, marijuana and Xanax.

According to the official documents there was “a small spoon with a white crystal like substance in it and a rolled up piece of white paper” found in the room.

Upon completion of the report, Kristy McCracken of the Beverly Hills Police Department concluded that Houston “possibly overdosed on a narcotic substance, prescription medications, over the counter medications and alcohol.”

In her Last Will and Testament, obtained by Inside Edition, Whitney stated that Bobbi Kristina would get everything, which includes her money, furniture, clothing, personal effects, jewelery and cars.

When Bobbi Kristina turns 21 (in 2014), she will inherit her mother’s money. When she turns 25, she will get more money and then at the age of 30, she will be given complete access to her mother’s fortune.

Whitney’s mother,  Cissy Houston is the executor of the will, while her brother Michael and sister-in-law Donna are trustees.

Houston left her ex-husband Bobby Brown nothing.

Bobbi Kristina is set to give her first interview since her mother’s death to Oprah Winfrey on Friday on the OWN Network.

The investigation in to Whitney Houston’s death has been ongoing but now STAR magazine is claiming that the singer tried to take her life 48 prior to her actual death. It all happened after a fight with “The X Factor’s” Stacy Francis, the show Houston was considered judging for.

According to STAR,  Houston “tried to slit her wrists in the bathroom of L.A.’s Tru Hollywood nightclub on Feb. 9.” This attempt is said to be linked to money; mentor Clive Davis had said he was going to cut the singer off so she took matters in to her own hands, literally.

From the general breakdown of events leading up to her actual death, it does not seem likely that Houston made this suicide attempt. Photos have surfaced with Houston having blood on her hands at the nightclub but again, no true evidence of any suicide attempt. More to come as the story unfolds.

The rumors are that Bobby is going to try to sell the book. If there was a “perfect time” to sell a Whitney Houston tell all, now would be the time.

There is a confidentiality agreement that was signed when he and Whitney divorced. And let’s not forget the impact a tell all would have on his daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

Brown arrived to the funeral with an entourage, nine additional people, to pay his respects. When he was told he and his entourage couldn’t sit together, the singer left, according to CNN. On CNN’s live video feed, Brown was seen arriving with several people and appeared emotionally distraught.  He approached Houston’s casket, passed it and went back down the aisle.

Brown made the following statement about the “incident”,

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston,” Brown said, “We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continued to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina. He continued, “In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. … I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”

Brown was expected to attend with two guests but showed up with 10 people. While Bobby was told he could stay in the area reserved for family, his guests would need to move to a different section to make room for Cissy (Houston) and the rest of the family. That is when Brown left the funeral with all of his guests.

Brown and Houston were married from 1992 until 2007, with Houston getting sole custody of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, when they divorced. Their daughter was born in 1993.

After seeing the movie the Bodyguard and falling in love with Costner and Houston it is so nice to hear about what happened behind the scenes of the movie.

He started off explaining one of her hit songs almost didn’t come to be saying,

“The song ‘I Will Always Love You’ almost wasn’t….it wasn’t supposed to be in the movie, the first choice was going to be used was “What Becomes of the Broken Heart.”

He continued, ” So what becomes of our broken hearts? Whitney returns home today, to the place where it all began,” and I urge us all inside, outside and around the world…. I ask that we dry our tears, suspend our sorrow, just long enough to remember the sweet miracle…Whitney.  Never forgetting Cissy and Bobbi Kristina sit among us. Your mother and I had a lot in common,” he said. “Many among us are thinking, really? She’s a girl, your a boy, you’re white, she’s black.  We heard you like to sing, but our sister could really sing.  Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston they don’t have anything in common at all.”

As it turns out they both had a love for the church and held it very close to their hearts.

Speaking about her role in The Bodyguard he said she was the “perfect choice.”  The studio wasn’t so sure about Houston but Kevin persisted, saying he even asked the studio to postponed the movie a year to wait for her to come off her tour, which was “a lot for the studio to accept.” They did accept it – but not before having Whitney take a screen test.

Costner recalled telling her not to be nervous and that he’d hold her hand every step of the way. He explained she could have fallen down and started speaking “in tongues” and she would’ve passed the screen test for the flick. Then he had everyone laughing about her stage makeup melting off in the hot lights. He said she was the only one who could’ve played the role at that time. “You weren’t just pretty, you were as beautiful as a woman could be,” he said.

“I was your pretend bodyguard not too long ago, and now you’re gone,” Costner said somberly. He continued, “Whitney if you could hear me now, you weren’t just good enough, you were great. People just don’t like you Whitney, they love you.”  He broke down and had to compose himself for a while after saying, “Off you go Whitney, off you go.”

His speech was touching and heartfelt, that of a true friend.
