Katie Holmes gets a head start on sweater weather as she attends NYC luncheon in beige cardigan and billowing jeans

Fall is just days away.

And Katie Holmes was a vision of autumnal fashion as she attended Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon in New York on Tuesday.

Clad in billowing jeans and a beige cardigan, the actress, 43, was the epitome of sweater weather style as she posed up a storm on the red carpet.

The Dawson’s Creek alum looked lovely with her brunette locks cascading down in loose waves and a hint of makeup touching up her naturally radiant complexion.

She showed off her edgy side with a delicate nose ring.

The beauty also carried her belongings about in style in a quilted Chanel purse slung across her body.

To finish off the look, Katie rocked a pair of glossy flats with a slight heel.

When Katie isn’t busy attending red carpet events, she has been focusing her efforts on her directorial feature Alone Together.

The flick premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April before being released in late July.

The project was a collaborative affair as Katie previously revealed her daughter Suri Cruise, 16, sang a cover of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart’s 1934 classic, Blue Moon, for the movie.

‘Well, I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her,’ Katie told Yahoo! Entertainment in July.

‘She’s very talented. She said she would do it, and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That’s the way I direct in general. It’s like, “This is what I think we all want, and then go do your thing.”‘

She added: ‘She actually did sing on Rare Objects, which is the film we did this [past] fall. Other than that, she’s a 16-year-old kid doing high school.’

Katie also wrapped her third directorial effort last year, Rare Objects, an indie flick about a traumatized woman working at an antique shop.
