The Global Citizen Festival made its return on Saturday, September 24, with shows in both New York City and Accra, Ghana.
And the likes of Katie Holmes and Priyanka Chopra, who was supported by her husband Nick Jonas and his band The Jonas Brothers, were among the celebrity attendees that hit the red carpet ahead of the concert.
Mariah Carey headlined the annual event with the likes of Metallica, Charlie Puth, Måneskin, Rosalia, Mickey Guyton and, of course, the Jonas Brothers.

Holmes looked ultra stylish in a brown leather jacket layered over a black button-up shirt and a plain white tee.
The Dawson’s Creek alum completed the look with some baggy black jeans and cherry red patent leather shoes.
Chopra, who’s worldwide activism includes serving as an ambassador with the non-profit organization Global Citizen, hosted the grand event in New York’s famed Central Park on the Great Lawn.
She opted for artsy comfort in the fashion department dressed in a suit with hints of green, yellow, purple red, orange, lavender and blue dabbled all across the pants and matching blazer.
The Quantico actress, 40, rounded out the ensemble by wearing a cropped white Global Citizen t-shirt and a pair of white sneakers.
Ahead of taking to the stage, Nick made his way to the red carpet to strike a few poses alongside his wife.

With photographers snapping away, Jonas, 30, put his right arm around his wife on several occasions decked out in sleek red pants and a matching shirt that had several button undone.
He also donned a pair of black leather boots and stylish sunglasses, al while sporting a well-manicured five o’clock shadow beard.
The couple also struck some poses together in the backstage area of the event.
It’s at this point that Jonas and Chopra stepped up the PDA as they looked lovingly into each other’s eyes.

The celebrity couple, who will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in December, made a return to the red carpet with the rest of the Jonas Brothers band.
Chopra flashed a beaming smile as she put her left arm around Joe Jonas, who looked handsome in fitted black pants with a brown suede jacket over a white t-shirt and black boots.
Kevin Jonas stood at Nick’s right looking dapper in black pants, a white and blue jacket over a yellow t-shirt, and black boots.

Eventually, the three brothers made their way to the stage to deliver their brand of pop music with the help of their band.
Some of the celebrities to attend the show in New York included actor Frankie Jonas, Broadway singer and actor Billy Porter, ballet dancer Misty Copeland, Descendants actress Sofia Carson, journalist Liza Mundy and her husband Bill Nye the Science Guy, Canadian television personality Antoni Porowski and comedian and television host Amber Ruffin.
A parallel edition of the festival went off at Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana on Saturday. It featured headlining performances from the likes of Usher, SZA, Stormzy, Tems, H.E.R., Gyakie, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.
Some of the stars to hit the red carpet ahead of the show in Ghana included The Walking Dead actress Danai Gurira, Idris Elba’s wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba and British rapper Stormzy (Born Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr).
Attendees: Frankie Jonas, the 21-year-old younger brother of Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, was also on hand to support the event and his brothers in New York City. Broadway star Billy Porter, 53, showed off his unique sense of style decked out in a gold-patterned ensemble and matching platform boots
The Global Citizen Festival is part of a movement to end extreme poverty.
Over the course of the last 10 years, since the festival was founded, Global Citizens have been taking action and calling on world and corporate leaders to make meaningful commitments to achieve the end of extreme poverty, according to the organization’s website.
With the help of some of the world’s biggest artists, Global Citizens have taken over 30 million actions, leading to over $41.1 billion in dispersed funding that’s impacting the lives of over 1.15 billion people.
Since 2015, the goals of the festival have been closely aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include 17 tasks to end extreme global poverty by 2030.
