Mac Miller and Cazzie David Leaned on Each Other After Ariana, Pete Splits

An unlikely duo. Mac Miller and Cazzie David developed a bond after their respective splits from Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, multiple sources exclusively tell Us Weekly.

“Cazzie and Mac never met, but started speaking because of Ariana and Pete’s relationship,” a source explains. “[They] leaned on each other.”

David, 24, hung out with the “Self Care” rapper’s mom, Karen Meyers, ahead of the 61st annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 10. David posted a picture of Meyers on her Instagram Story and added several heart and heart eye emojis.

“Cazzie and Mac’s mom have become extremely close and talk almost every day,” an insider adds. “Mac’s mom loves her.”

The “7 Rings” songstress, 25, was not happy that Miller lost the award for Best Rap Album for Swimming to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy, because the Recording Academy encouraged his family to attend the event.

“Trash. F—k. Bulls—t. Literal bulls—t,” Grande wrote on Sunday in since-deleted tweets. She later clarified that she wasn’t throwing shade at the “Bodak Yellow” rapper. “Nothing to do w her,” the Scream Queens alum tweeted at a fan. “Good for her. i promise. i’m sorry.”

Larry David’s daughter was first linked to the 25-year-old Saturday Night Live star in May 2016 and they dated for two years. Grande, meanwhile, dated Miller for nearly two years before they called it quits in May 2018.

Weeks later, the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer started hooking up with Davidson, and Us Weekly broke the news of their engagement that June 2018. However, the former Nickelodeon star and the comedian broke up in October 2018, one month after the rapper died from an accidental overdose at the age of 26.
