Ernst Blofeld returns in new James Bond film No Time To Die

It has been hotly-speculated that his villainous character will return for a second outing in the upcoming Bond film No Time To Die.

And the new trailer for the action-packed film has confirmed that James’ nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, played by Christoph Waltz, will make a comeback.

At the end of the previous film, Blofeld was arrested by the British Secret Services following his time as head of global criminal organisation, Spectre.

He’s back! The new trailer for the action-packed film has confirmed that James’ nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, played by Christoph Waltz, will make a comeback

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer opens with James Bond [Daniel Craig] and Madeleine Swann [Lea Seydoux] being chased in an Aston Martin, as he suspects her of betraying him and Blofeld appears to corroborate his fears.

The return of Blofeld, who has been one of Bond’s enemies since his introduction in 1963 classic From Russia with Love, is confirmed in the trailer after endless fan speculation.

The character of Blofeld has featured in no less than seven previous films in the long-running franchise.

Bond and Madeleine drove into the sunset together at the end of 2015’s Spectre and have been living quietly off the grid in Jamaica, until Bond is visited on the Caribbean island by old friend Felix Leiter, played by Jeffrey Wright, who calls him back into action.

When Madeleine questions: ‘Why would I betray you?’ he says: ‘We all have our secrets, we just didn’t get to yours yet.’

The new clip shows Blofeld in an institution with his arms locked together in hands cuffs while sat in a cage, as Bond walks into the room to talk to him.

Referencing his relationship with the Bond girl, Blofeld tells the secret agent: ‘James, you gave up everything for her. When her secret finds its way out, it’ll be the death of you.’
