Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills SUSPENDS shooting of season 11 due to COVID-19 concerns… joining RHOA which was shut down two weeks ago

As coronavirus cases have continued to spike in California and beyond, this reality TV show is being forced to take a pause in production.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills is temporarily suspending filming on season 11 due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, People Magazine reported on Thursday.

While a specific cause was not cited, it seems that production was halted to allow those involved to follow the correct health and safety protocols, perhaps after potential exposure to the highly infectious virus.

The news comes roughly two weeks after The Real Housewives Of Atlanta curtailed filming when it was revealed that a member of the production team on that show tested positive for COVID-19.

Additionally, last month The Real Housewives Of New York Coty had to partially halt production, when a crew member came down with the virus.

Productions around the country have had to adopt strict and rigorous protocols during the pandemic, often with daily on-site testing put in place in order to make sure everyone on set is negative.

Still, due to the nature of filming various personalities in indoor settings, risk of transmission of the coronavirus remains high.

The new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will welcome back Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke, along with new additions Crystal Kung Minkoff and Kathy Hilton.

Absent from the proceedings are Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Denise Richards, who both left the show after the season 10 finale.

Currently, Season 11 of RHOBH is slated to premiere on Bravo in April 2021.

It remains to be seen if this production shutdown will cause that date to be delayed.

The news comes as the country continues its struggle to overcome the pandemic, which has been with us since March.

Thanksgiving and the holiday season in general poses an added burden to recovery efforts, as indoor family gatherings will only make the rate of infection higher.
