Daisy Ridley stunned in a fitted red dress as she confirmed she star in the upcoming Star Wars films as she made a surprise appearance at Star Wars Celebration 2023.
The actress, 33, who will reprise her role as Rey, first appeared in 2015’s The Force Awakens and went on to star in The Last Jedi in 2017, before wrapping up her character in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker.
Speaking at the event in London on Friday, she revealed that she would be continuing Rey’s journey in a film that will take place after the 2019 instalment.
Daisy looked sensational in the bold number that featured a large bow on one shoulder and nipped in at her waist.
She boosted her height with a pair of nude stilettos and slicked her dark hair back into a neat updo.

Producer Kathleen Kennedy introduced a new series of Star Wars films at the event, that will ‘tell the story of the rebuilding of a new Jedi order’, Deadline reports.
According to People, Daisy told the audience at the ExCeL Centre: ‘I am very thrilled to be continuing this journey.’
She first starred as Rey alongside longstanding stars Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in 2015, as well as new stars of the series John Boyega and Adam Driver.
The trilogy wrapped in 2019 with Rey visiting Luke Skywalker’s abandoned homestead to bury Luke (Mark Hamill) and Leia’s (Carrie) lightsabers.
Earlier this year, Daisy responded to whether she would be open to reprising her role in the epic space opera franchise.
Joining Emilia Clarke at Sundance Film Festival the actresses, who both wrapped up their characters’ stories in the films, were presented with the question.
For Clarke, she didn’t mince words when she shot back with a quick ‘no’, while Ridley had a different answer when she confessed she would definitely consider returning.
Clarke, 36, played the role of Qi’ra, Han Solo’s childhood friend and romantic interest, in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).

When asked she said: ‘I mean… no,’ with a laugh, according to Indie Wire adding, ‘That would be lovely, that would be very nice. I’m genuinely having a wicked time on Marvel, though, they’re absolutely brilliant.’
Meanwhile, in an interview with IMdB, Daisy confessed she would definitely consider returning to the fold: ‘I mean, I’m open to a phone call. I’m looking for employment!’ she said.
The actress also spoke to TheWrap about how she has watched the various Star Wars franchise shows on Disney+, and considers herself a big fan.
‘I haven’t watched all of them, but it’s just because of timing and stuff like that. But yeah, I mean the work everyone’s doing is amazing,’ she shared. ‘I worked with Pedro Pascal and I was like, “This is really cool; he’s The Mandalorian.” I still find it all very exciting.’
