Armie Hammer‘s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers will host her own series on ‘toxic and traumatic’ relationships, after her own explosive split from the shamed actor.
The TV personality, 40, filed for divorce from Hammer, 36, in July 2020 after ten years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences – months before Hammer was accused by multiple women of sexual assault and of having violent kink fantasies involving cannibalism.
Chambers has now signed a development deal with Investigation Discovery – with her first true crime show ‘exploring the complexities of toxic and traumatic relationships.’
Chambers will host and co-executive produce the series which features ‘interviews and firsthand accounts of survivors that shed light on long-held secrets, generational trauma, and deep-rooted psychological issues’, reports the network.
The series also ‘aims to empower victims with control of their own narratives.

Jason Sarlanis, President of Turner Networks, ID & HLN, Linear and Streaming said: ‘We’re big admirers of Elizabeth and know that this new series will resonate with our passionate true crime audience.
‘Elizabeth brings a unique empathy to help elevate victim’s voices which perfectly aligns with ID’s mission to use its platform to share powerful stories of hope, resilience and survival.
Discovery+ documentary House of Hammer – which documented abuse allegations against Hammer and his reported cannibalism fetish – aired last year, which Chambers was not a part of,
This comes Chambers spoke of the moment she knew her marriage to Hammer was over, revealing he left her heart ‘broken in nine million pieces.’
Speaking about the breakdown of her marriage in a candid chat with ELLE magazine, Elizabeth revealed that cracks had been showing for months, with the actor’s behaviour during lockdown proving to be the final straw.
The couple were on holiday with their children Harper, seven, and Ford, five, when Covid cases began to spike in the States, so they decided not to return to Los Angeles but instead quarantine in the Cayman Islands with Armie’s father and stepmother.
Yet their already strained marriage began to break down even quicker, with Elizabeth describing Armie as ‘the worst’ during quarantine.
For his part, Armie has described the time as being a ‘very complicated, intense situation, with big personalities all locked in a little tiny place,’ likening himself to a wolf ‘caught in a snare’ that wants to ‘chew his own foot off.’

Despite their struggles, Elizabeth was left blindsided when her husband decided to leave the family and return to California, where he helped a friend restore an old motel outside Joshua Tree National Park.
‘My heart was broken in nine million pieces, and I still drove him to the airport,’ she confessed.
She added: ‘Marriage is always going to be difficult, and, as with any relationship, you go through a process. Especially if you throw success and fame into the mix; it just becomes more magnified…
‘[Over time] your partner is learning things about themselves,’ she says. ‘They’re growing, you’re growing; you hope that you’re growing together.’
Ultimately, they had grown too far apart to make their relationship work.
While attempting to build herself back together, Elizabeth sought comfort from the marriage counsellor she had seen with Armie, famed psychotherapist and relationship specialist Esther Perel.
‘[Esther] always said heartbreak is literally worse than a heroin addiction, and I think about that a lot’, she confessed.
Elizabeth is now dating wellness specialist Ricardas Kazinec, 26.
While the couple are ‘so in love’, Elizabeth revealed they have to act ‘completely platonic if the kids ever see us together, because I don’t think it’s in their best interest to see their mom dating someone while they’re still processing divorce.’
While it has been three years since she filed for divorce, the couple are not yet legally divorced, with Elizabeth admitting it felt like she was ‘ripping’ her family apart.
She explained: ‘The dissolution of my family was literally my biggest fear of my whole life. You’re building something, right? You’re weaving a beautiful tapestry, and the last thing you want is for a knife to come and rip the tapestry in half.’
Elizabeth’s heartache was only magnified when a series of depraved revelations about Armie’s sex life were made public, among them that he had cannibalistic fetishes.
‘I was learning things as the public was,’ Elizabeth revealed. ‘I was like, ‘There are no words. What the f**k?’
Armie has since broken his silence to insist that while he was an ‘a**hole’ and ‘one million percent’ emotionally abused younger women, he is not a criminal.
He also claimed he was molested by a pastor at 13 and attempted suicide in the Cayman Islands after he was accused of rape.
The shamed The Social Network star has not been heard from and rarely seen since a woman named Effie, 26, accused him in 2021 of having ‘violently raped’ her. This led to a series of accusations by women involving his interest in kinky sex and even cannibalism.
He has denied the accusations through his attorney and said all of his sexual encounters were ‘completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance and mutually participatory’.
The LAPD has investigated and Armie has never been charged, but the allegations proved to be catastrophic for his career, and he was subsequently dropped by the talent agency WME, as well as by his personal publicist.

He was replaced in Jennifer Lopez’s new rom-com Shotgun Wedding by Josh Duhamel, and Miles Teller took over his role in the TV series The Offer, which dramatizes the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s classic film The Godfather.
Although he was removed form those productions, Armie had already finished filming the Kenneth Branagh-directed mystery Death On The Nile, which features an ensemble cast including Branagh, Gal Gadot, Annette Benning, Russell Brand and Rose Leslie, among others.
Viewers mocked a trailer for the film after it appeared to go out of its way to minimize the actor’s participation – though his brief appearances were still too much for many viewers.
Armie was also sued by American Express over an unpaid $67,000 credit card bill, but the case was dropped earlier this month.
