Regina Hall shimmers in a sleek black dress at the 75th Directors Guild of America Awards

Regina Hall looked stunning as she walked the carpet at the 75th Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday.

The Girl Trip actress, 52, flaunted her figure in a black zip-up dress as she hit the red carpet before the ceremony.

Her dress featured an open neckline, which revealed a dazzling silver sequined bra.

The neck of the dress donned lapels that fell off the sides of her shoulders.

At the bottom of the dress, there was a slit at the front that went up to the middle of her thigh.

She wore her hair down and straight, with two braids on either side that held back the front of her hair.

For makeup, she went for a soft look, with rosy cheeks and glossy lips.

Regina accessorized with large silver and emerald earrings, and she carried a black purse with her.

The event itself was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

It was hosted by successful writer and director Judd Apatow, 55, who is known for his movies such as This is 40, Knocked-Up, and Girls.

The awards are issued every year by the Directors Guild of America.

It is an entertainment guild that represents the interests of television and directors in the United States motion picture industry and abroad.

The beauty was joined by lots of other A-list celebrities at the star-studded event, including James Marsden, 49.

James, who is known for his roles in Enchanted, Hairspray, X-Men, and Dead to Me, looked very dapper at the ceremony.

He donned a classy black tuxedo with a crisp white undershirt under his jacket.

Regina and James posed for photos together and shared laughs on the stage.

Together the pair presented the awards for the commercials and comedy series categories.

While on stage, they joked that their presenting together does not mean they are dating but that they instead met on a matchmaking app for presenters.

Kim Gehrig won the commercial award, while Bill Hader won for Barry’s episode 710N. The Barry star was not in attendance to accept the award.

Judd then returned to the stage to commend the winners who didn’t attend so the show could wrap up faster.

‘Let’s have another round of applause for Bill Hader for NOT showing up!’ Apatow said.

For his opening monologue as host, Judd mocked the fact that the show was only being live-streamed.

‘This show is so irrelevant, it’s shocking Elon Musk hasn’t bought it yet,’ he joked.

He then made a jab at the fact that there was more than one Pinocchio film made last year.

That show was ‘honoring the directors who didn’t feel a need to make a Pinocchio movie this year.’

Judd also nodded to the fact that there were no female filmmakers nominated in the top director category this year.
