Jennifer Hudson at Kennedy Center Honors Sings Tribute to Oprah (video)

Jennifer Hudson gave a breathtaking performance honoring Oprah Winfrey at the Kennedy Center Honors, which aired last night (Dec. 28).  

Julia Roberts opened the tribute to Oprah and talked about the Media Queen’s life and career.

Hudson sang I’m Here from the Broadway musical The Color Purple, which Oprah produced,  the Tennessee State University Choir joined in on the song.

Every year The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in D.C. celebrates five individuals who have spent their lives enriching, inspiring and elevating others. And last night was no exception! 

The  A-list honorees for 2010 are:

 Oprah Winfrey, Sir Paul McCartney, country legend Merle Haggard, Broadway lyricist Jerry Herman and choreographer Bill T. Jones.
