Hurricane Sandy hit on Monday, October 29th leaving devastation along the east coast.

NBC Universal has stepped in to hold a benefit concert with the proceeds going to the American Red Cross.

As someone who lives in an area affected by the hurricane and has witnessed first hand everything the Red Cross is doing to help all those who have lost their homes, the Red Cross is a great choice. They have provided food, in addition to gas for neighbors, family and friends.

The special, called “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,” will air on tonight, broadcasting simultaneously on NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy and USA.

Matt Lauer will host and there will be As noted in the press release performances by Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and Sting. Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams are also scheduled to appear.
