Scotty McCreery has just been added to the list of musicians to appear on the annual Christmas in Rockefeller tree lighting special!
Already announced performers include Trace Adkins, Mariah Carey, and Cee Lo Green.
The famous tree has been in Rockefeller Center since 1933, when this tradition began. When this tradition first began the tree was lit with 700 lights. Today the tree takes more than 30,000 lights to decorate it!
This gig is perfect for the American Idol winner because he is currently out promoting his new Christmas album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery. McCreery will also be getting his own holiday special on GAC on December 1.
Christmas in Rockefeller airs on November 28 at 8 PM on NBC.
