Ed Sheeran gave a touching tribute during “The Beatles: The Night That Changed America A GRAMMY Salute,” which aired Sunday night on CBS.

To honor the band’s 50th anniversary in America, the fellow Brit performed “In My Life.”

On Feb. 9, 1964, the British invaded America in a way that made pop-culture history. The broadcast of “The Beatles: The Night That Changed America A GRAMMY Salute” was timed to be exactly 50 years to the day, date, time and network of the original time the band gave their first U.S. television performance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”

    Horrible! One of my favorite songs ever , I thought his redition was awful!
