It’s OVER For “The Bachelor” Stars Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff – The Couple Breaks Up
This just in even, though we could have predicted it…well, we already did but here it is: Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff of “The Bachelor” have broken up. The finale aired just two months ago and the couple have gone their separate ways. The couple talked about how excited they were to finally live together and start their lives as a couple but then Soules was recruited for “Dancing With the Stars.” While he was off dancing, it was rumored that he and partner Witney were cozying up to one another and that could be true but how many of these couples have been success stories? Remember how we started out 2015 with the demise of Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray after they got together on “The Bachelorette?”
Soules, 33 and Bischoff, 29 were together for about six months total as he made the tough decision to choose her over Becca Tilley. How much do you want to bet that he will be knocking on her door soon? When he asked Whitney to marry him, it seemed as though his heart was really with Becca Tilley, but since Tilley couldn’t commit, he did what he thought was “the right thing” at the time and got engaged to the next best thing, Whitney Bischoff.
The couple released a statement today, revealing their split to US Magazine:
“Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement. They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”
They were not the first ones to come clean about the split. The show’s creator, Mike Fleiss, tweeted the sad news: “Sad news to report: @souleschris and @whitbisch are no longer engaged…” Soules opened up and said that all the Hollywood hype was not really his style and the duo have returned to their homes. Chris Soules is a farmer in Arlington, Iowa while Whitney is a fertility nurse in Chicago.
The distance really does not seem to be too awful but apparently, this just was not the right match. I am at the point where I think that “The Bachelor” should just bow out. What are your thoughts about the break-up? Could you see it from a mile away or are you shocked? More importantly, there hasn’t been a couple who made it down the aisle in quite some time. It makes you wonder if the popularity of the series is the cause. Do you think it’s possible to meet someone on national television with 25 other people competing for their heart, fall in love and make it down the aisle?
