Hugh Hefner Calls Holly Madison’s Tell-All an Effort to Stay Famous

By on June 22, 2015

Hugh Hefner has finally broken his silence about Holly Madison’s explosive tell-all book in which she describes Hef as a creepy old man.

In her book, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales from a Former Playboy Bunny, the former centerfold painted a picture that is very different from the carefree party atmosphere where beautiful women freely sleep with the founder of Playboy.

The former star of Girls Next Door accused  Hef of offering her quaaludes when they first met despite his reputation for being against drugs. She also claimed that sex was an expected part of the deal making it sound less like a fun-filled lovefest and more like sex for hire. In one excerpt she insinuated that none of the women in Hef’s bed wanted to do the act and that they seemed relieved she was there taking the pressure off of them to perform.

Holly’s tale also made Hef sound more like a parental figure or even prison guard than lover. She claims there were strict curfews and rules. All of the women were told what to wear, including at bedtime when she says they all had to wear matching pink flannel pajamas. There was also a rule against wearing red lipstick.

Despite having a reputation for being an epic party place, Holly called the mansion dirty and talked about rugs stained with dog urine and desperately in need of an overhaul. She discloses that his bedroom was like a scene from the show Hoarders with piles of stuff everywhere.

She also describes a man that was manipulative saying that he pulled their strings in an effort to create a constant competition between the women cutting one woman out of a paid arrangement while explaining that he had spent too much money on girlfriends.

Hugh Hefner has finally answered her claims saying, “Over the course of my life I’ve had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women. Many moved on to live happy, healthy and productive lives, and I’m please to say remain dear friends today. Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight,” adding, “I guess as the old saying goes; you can’t win ’em all.”

There is no love lost between Holly and Kendra Wilkinson, one of the women that shared Hef’s bed with Holly, though Kendra did talk about needing to be under the influence to get through sex with Hef. That didn’t stop him from marrying again. Hef, 89, is now married to Crystal Harris, 29, who famously broke off their engagement days before their wedding. She was featured in the issue of Playboy and introduced as Mrs. Crystal Hefner before stickers were placed over saying, “Runaway Bride.” Love triumphed though, or money, and the two eventually reconciled and married on New Year’s Eve in 2012.

Is Holly rewriting history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight or is Hef a creepy old man preying on young women? Let us know what you think here at Haveuheard.
