Is Josh Duggar already trying to spin his latest sex scandal? After news broke that he had molested his sisters when he was younger, the Duggar family stood behind Josh speaking of God and forgiveness. His in-laws even defended the man he has become all hoping to put molestation scandal to rest. Then came news that he had two subscription accounts to Ashley Madison, a website designed to help people cheat discreetly. Josh is still talking about God, forgiveness, and prayers, but now the original statement he released has been amended.

His original statement stated that he had secretly been viewing pornography on the internet calling it a “secret addiction,” adding that he “became unfaithful to my wife.” That statement was amended several times throughout the day with the comment about his porn addiction removed as well as his reference to the molestation scandal. He had written, “I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.”

The new statement makes no mention of him surfing the web for porn nor does it mention what happened when he was 14-15. Of course what happened was that he molested his sisters. But typical for Josh, he talks about things as if they just happened and not as things that he did although he did leave in the part about being unfaithful to his wife.

There are reports that his parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are beside themselves over this latest controversy involving their son. The Duggars hit show 19 Kids and Counting has been canceled and while Jill and Jessa told Megyn Kelly that the family was more than a television show, the family reportedly took the end of their show hard.

While Josh acknowledged being a hypocrite sources close to the family believe his life is ruined. He made a living preaching about family values and crusading against same-sex marriage, at one time comparing same-sex couples with pedophiles and calling them a danger to kids. His mother Michelle shared similar thoughts in her interview with Megyn Kelly speaking about the dangers of transgender people and gender neutral bathrooms.

Josh’s parents seemed unable to comprehend why accusing the LGBT community of being dangerous would be considered hypocritical considering their own son had repeatedly molested their daughters and spoke about prays, forgiveness, and Jesus. Of course this was all before Josh’s name came up in the Ashley Madison hacking.

It has been confirmed that not only did Josh have two paid subscriptions but also that he paid $249 fee for an “affair guarantee.” The fee “can increase your chances of having an affair from possible to definitely or your money back.”

There is no word if Josh got his money back or if his wife Anna is re-thinking her stand by her man approach. Some reports claim she is looking more deeply into her religion for answers with others saying she is shouldering some of the blame.

For now Josh Duggar’s statement has been amended. Does that mean he is attempting damage control? Is having a porn addiction worse than molesting your sisters or cheating on your wife while holding yourself up as morally superior?

Blind Faith! Not being a supporter of Reality TV, nor the cash mongers in the cable and network TV industry, I see the Duggars showing the American people that they matter, regardless of the fault, regardless of the pain, suffering, we are blessed, and God forgives us, so everyone else needs to as well, as by the way, we want our Reality TV payday! It’s do as the Lord says, and disregard what we as a family does, because we are the chosen family, walking right with God, and our followers, and our Church, accepts our repentance, regardless who we hurt, mislead, cause suffering, because we are the Duggars, 19 and counting. I am a Christian, I believe in forgiveness, and walking right with God, and yes it is a daily struggle, yet, I am not making $45,000 off a reality show per episode, to be able to live a double life, double values, double beliefs. I know Josh, his family, and sisters are going through a heavy time, all created by their own actions, lack of actions, or just down right placing it at the foot of the alter, and walking away, not worrying about consequence, legal standing, or the lives of innocent people, and family members being hurt.

Over years we have watched 12 and counting, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17…..you get the point, and we see preaching, guidance, faith based teachings in public view, we see discrimination, anger, down right cruel and unwarranted attacks on people who do not share their faith, preaching damnation, and intolerance of social issues not conforming to their dogma, the family joining in, participating in spear campaigns of hate, fear, and intolerance, as well as cuddling up to the FRC, an evil self-serving and hate promoting organization with a double head attack, keeping silence when their own home is dirty, and damming anyone who does not share their issues, causes and direction, they feel America should be. I do pray for them, hope salvation, grace and peace reaches then, and comforts their family, while at the same time it’s time to close the chapter on the Duggars, let them share their faith at home, in there church and truly walk in the footsteps of Jesus, outside of the profit motivated world of television, unethical TV organizations, misguided directions of some faith based groups, and live and let live, and let time heal the wounds, outside of the public realm. Just a thought. Although you can fall from grace, lose worldly possessions, its what is in your heart, in your actions, both public and private, in your teachings and faith that matters, not TLC, not 19 Children and Counting, not tons of money, it you, your family, and your personal relationship with God. Amen.
