Bill Cosby Accusers Speak Out On A & E Special- What Did They Have to Say?
Bill Cosby has shattered his image as the perfect television father and Jell-O spokesperson upon the revelation that he drugged and unconsented sex with several women. Among these women are supermodels Janice Dickinson and Beverley Johnson. It is hard to believe that Cosby would and could be capable of such an awful act and his wife, Camille stood by him, no matter what the victims had to say.
Tonight, on A & E, these victims will have a chance to tell their stories. There is said to be over a dozen women who will be recounting their stories and what they went through at the hands of one of the biggest celebrities in the world. Bill Cosby revolutionized what it meant to be a black family on television in the eighties on “The Cosby Show.” His character, Cliff Huxtable, was an OB-GYN (ironic) and his wife was a lawyer. They had a broad family and even had a spin-off called “A Different World” which was helmed by Lisa Bonet, ex-wife of Lenny Kravitz and current wife of “Aqua-Man” Jason Momoa. This show gave “The View” co-host Raven-Symone her start as Olivia and she has even said on the chat fest that this is the one role people remember her for. They seem to have forgotten that she has had her own TV show “That’s So Raven” and was part of “The Cheetah Girls” franchise.
Other stars who got their start via the Cosby franchise were Keshia Knight-Pulliam who went on to star in several Tyler Perry projects; Academy Award winner Maria Tomei, who played Bonet’s roomie on “A Different World” and comedian Sinbad. It also brought new life to Phylicia Rashad’s career as she played Claire Huxtable, the lovable but firm wife. Now, we are on a whole different spectrum when it comes to the Cosby name because it is associated with drugs, rape, blacking out and women who felt like they would never get their stories told. This evening, they tell their stories in a revealing interview.
