Married at First Sight: The First Year – Returning for Year 2 with Jamie and Doug and Cortney and Jason
After watching Married at First Sight for two seasons now – and seeing season 1’s two out of three couples successfully stay married despite meeting at the altar, we are happy to say, we will get to watch Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis, and Jason Carrion and Cortney Hendrix, once again in Married at First Sight: The First Year Season 2.
The couples captured our hearts when we watched Jamie see Doug at the altar and feel less than thrilled with what she was presented with. We saw her fall in love on season 1 and watched them as newlyweds during the first season on Married at First Sight: The First Year. We also saw Cortney and Jason deal with Jason’s first year in the academy and we saw him deal with the death of his mother from cancer. Both couples have had their ups and downs, but are still together.
The first season of Married at First Sight had better results than the second season. We watched season 2 as Jessica and Ryan battled it out and ultimately ended up with a restraining order against Ryan and we watched as the other Ryan dumped Jaclyn for no apparent reason.
What can we expect this season on Married at First Sight: The First Year Season 2? We will follow Jamie and Doug and Jason and Cortney as the two couples encounter new ups and downs in married life – from renovating a new home, to talk of babies, to reconnecting with a long lost relative.
With new adventures on the horizon, the couples share their most personal struggles and joyous occasions. Jason’s childhood friend, Neph Rodriguez, will also share his journey of navigating the dating world post-divorce. “Married at First Sight” trusted sociologist, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, will check in with the couples and offer advice and guidance post experiment.
